gifts for my sweet things

Baby Luke got the cuddliest gifts this Christmas. Our gift to our grandkids for their first Christmas has always been a 'my first chair.' This year they had a sherpa cover and, oh boy, is it ever soft! Luke loved it. As it turned out, Luke's auntie Andra got him the same chair with a different cover. I took my chair back and just gave him the cover so momma has an extra cover.

Luke's other gift was his little rocking lamb. We wanted to get him a rocking pony in the worst way but it was only available online and I absolutely refuse to pay PBK shipping fees! I think he is a bit small for the rocking lamb but it won't be long til he's riding it "yee haw" just like Maci rode hers.

I have never given Legos a second thought until this year.  Amber mentioned that Maci loves playing on the Lego table at the library so I started taking notice.  This is the Lego table we got for the girls...mainly Maci... and, boy, did this gramma have fun putting the house together!

Miss Maddie is all grown up this year.  My gift to her was a refurbished jewelry box.  This wasn't just any jewelry box!  It was her mommy's jewelry box.   Here it is when I first started....

and here it is all done!

Maddie also got an ipod shuffle from Uncle Mike and Aunt Shelby.  Shelb said Mike has wanted to get her one for a long time and she finally thought she might be old enough.  Well, Maddie opened it and said, "Am I old enough for this?"  I think the answer was 'yes.'  Maddie listened to it all night long.
