Tonight I watched the girls for a bit while Amber went to a meeting. Every time I stay with them I am amazed at what a routine they have. They don't need anyone to take care of them; they just need someone to supervise!

We finished supper and I was cleaning up the kitchen and Maddie wanted to help. I let her help and she was wiping off the counter and she said, "oh gramma, I love to clean. Do you like to clean?"

"No, Maddie, I don't like to clean at all!"

She said, "Well, you should invite me over!"

She's right.  I should.

The other night, grampa and I asked Maddie what she's learning in school.  "Oh nothing."

 Mommy said, "tell gramma and grampa what you're learning this week."

"I'm learning to count by 10s and I'm counting pennies."

"Maddie!  That's great!  We're so proud of all you're learning in school!"

She said, "Oh, it's no big deal."

And here's Maddie at dance.  She is doing really good even though one night she said to me, "Gramma, I don't like dance so much.  I'd rather sing and color."   I love a girl who knows what she wants.
