the best handmade gifts

There were some gifts that I received from my girls that were extra special to me. First of all, Amber totally surprised Shelby and me with her creativity! She made each of us a tea towel...yep, from scratch! She bought the fabric, cut it and hemmed it and made a towel! i.love.it.

And as if that wasn't enough, she etched our names and a design on a baking dish.

She also made us coffee cozies which are ADORABLE and I have been using mine every day.  And it's even reversible!

And finally, she made the cutest little card holders...just right to put your driver's license and a credit card in. Perfect for when I just need to run somewhere without taking my purse.

And from Shelby, I got a Christmas ornament... not just any ornament but a plaster cast of Luke's perfectly chubby little hand! You can see how he scrunched up his fingers and really 'dug in' to the paster. I love it!

and then there was Amber's gift to Mike.  Well, Mike is a Michigan State fan and not so much an Iowa fan so you can imagine his underhisbreath murmur when he saw the fleece blanket Amber made for him!  But, as you can see from Shelby's face, she could see the BEST part of Mike's blanket...

the Michigan State side!

Such awesome gifts and so much love put into each and every one of them...the best kind of presents!
