the best Christmas pageant ever

Sunday morning was the kid's program at church. Now we've attended many, many Christmas programs at our church but this was a PAGEANT! Complete with awesome costumes and a real set and a real baby Jesus.  There was only one small incident and that was when Mary was carrying baby Jesus and tripped but she caught herself and didn't drop baby Jesus and the show went on!  I'm sure baby Jesus' mommy had a slight heart attack!

Of course, we went to see our girlies.  They were sheep and they were adorable.

the Confirmation Class sang some tobyMac...Christmas This Year

Miss Maci had the best seat in the house...

and then the high school girls came out.  And there is a reason I didn't get a picture of them.  It was because they made me bawl like a baby.   And I couldn't stop.  They sang "Grown Up Christmas List."  That is one of my favorite Christmas songs and the words just hit me like a brick.  It started out with those great big tears that swell up in your eyes and then you blink and the dam opens.

No more lives torn apart
That wars will never start
And time will heal our hearts
And every man will have a friend
That right will always win
And love will never end
This is my grown up Christmas list

I know I freaked some people out - they probably thought I'd lost it.  Well, I did, for a short time but soon I gained my composure back and enjoyed the rest of the show...

All the animals were invited up to see baby Jesus...

and one little lamb found a really nice place to take a rest

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
