On November 11, I happened to be working from home. I noticed cars lined up on our street, driving very slowly. I looked out the window and a doe and buck ran right down our sidewalk and around our house. They ran behind our house and I witnessed Mr. Buck chasing his doe. It was a rainy day and these photos were taken from inside the house and are not very clear.
Now just a week ago, Mr. Buck returned. I believe he is the same buck. He looks like the same buck. He is beautiful and now every day I'm watching for him.
I believe other people are watching for him, too, because there seems to be a lot of traffic driving very slowly around our neighborhood around the time Mr. Buck is on the move. I hope Mr. Buck survives another season because I love watching for him and trying to get a good shot of him.
Be careful, Mr. Buck. I believe others would like a shot at you, too, but not the kind of shot I'm talking about.

he's lucky he lives 'in town'. i'd sure like a shot at him! (if i could shoot) he's look pretty cool on my wall :)
have to admit we cruise your area every once & a while looking for him, too. We spied him last year and Ryan was excited to see him again this season...he better stay where he is or he'll be jerky! :)
i've seen him the last three days in the field across the road from us. He is usually there between 4 and 5. Last night he was out behind the barn about 20 feet from our horses - just meandering... he isn't afraid of anything :)
